Words: Andy Barnard, Upwards & Co Founder
Having a set pamper routine is not only good for your body but good for your mental health and wellbeing. It’s definitely something that’s so important to me when it comes to self-care and looking after myself. No matter how down I feel or disconnected I am from myself, I always come back to a bit of pampering! Self-care is one of the best ways to relax and destress – especially after the year we are having.
Here at Upwards & Co. we have a whole range of products to encourage a fabulous, yet sustainable self-care session. From taking a relaxing bath, having a face mask, to applying some luxurious facial oils! I find that there is nothing better than spending time on yourself after a long day, so night time is the best time for me.
Running a bath with our Milk Bath Brew creates a colourful and relaxing bath experience, which leaves you feeling revitalised and silky smooth. The bath milk pockets are filled with a beautiful blend of dried herbs and flowers, which together infuse the water with vitamins & antioxidants. Soaking in this detoxifies skin, relaxes and relieves tension, soothes aching muscles and joints, stimulates circulation.
These fabulous Under Eye Hydrogels not only makes you look like an insta model, but helps soothe and plump the skin under your eyes.
Read out some affirmations while you’re relaxing – this is so important for your mental health.
Our Body & Bath Oil feeds the skin with so much love. It is rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids which improves the skin’s elasticity and plumpness. Perfect to add to your bath or directly on to your skin.
Our Nourishing Facial Oil will feed your skin hydration and nutrients throughout the day, keeping it healthy, nourished and radiant. Perfect to apply after your bath session. (It’s seriously nourishing!)
Then wine. Because there’s nothing like relaxing in a bath with a big glass of wine.
My favourite saying is “we deserve the love we keep trying to give others” which is so true, so I hope that after reading this you are going to pull out your diary and block out time this weekend for a bit of pampering! Let self-care restore your inner strength again.
Self-care is not an expense, it’s an investment.
