Ecosia is a search engine, just like any other, but with one major difference: it plants a tree for every search done.

Founder, Christian started Ecosia.com in 2009 after a trip around the world opened his eyes to the harmful effects of deforestation. Fast forward ten years, Ecosia.com has now helped plant over 89 million trees and has built a solar energy plant to power every search.

I know what you’re thinking, how does this work? So, with every search, Ecosia earns income from search ads on their platform. They then take this money and purchase trees to be planted all around the world.
