Second Hand Shopping Online

One of my favourite past times is thrifting. There’s something super rewarding about finding that perfect item and it’s somehow more meaningful because it’s unique whilst having a lower impact on the environment. However, it can definitely be time-consuming and difficult with everything going on. Now is the perfect time to buy pre-loved goods online. Here’s the curated list:

Second-hand style has a lot to thank to all the Instagram accounts that do the dirty work for us, sifting through second-hand stores to bring us the coolest pieces. Perhaps the one that started it all was @the.drobe, which sells a range of cool-girl clothing from basics to high end. They mainly sell via Instagram but host quarterly online and offline pop-up stores. Other favourites of ours include @mori_market and @luneselects who both stock timeless pieces suitable for any occasion.

Love 80’s and 90’s fashion? Restated Vintage and Goodbyes are the perfect places for that! Browsing their websites is like roaming through the vintage shops of Shimokitazawa – Tokyo’s world-renown vintage district. Snag a cool graphic tee that can be worn sooo many different ways.

If Boho is more your style Generally Worn offers the perfect selection of dreamy clothing that would be perfect for summer 2021.

Fancy something more designer?

All of us at T.H.E adore Sozo Amour, from Acne Studios to Chanel, they’ve got it all. Who said being boujee couldn’t be sustainable? As well, @reinamelbourne stock archival designer clothing and accessories, think Miu Miu, Fendi, Prada, and more. @carme.vintage has archival clothing and designer bags as well but also offers high-quality vintage pieces.

Moving house or just need some new furniture or decor?

@__goodspace__ and Curated Spaces offer a wide range of retro homewares and furniture. Their items go fast so get in quick! Or, as the Instagram handle suggests, @aesthetic.vintage.shop is the most aesthetic second-hand furniture store. Whilst CCSS have sourced the best vintage furniture all across Australia so you don’t have to, they have such a wide variety, it’d be perfect for nearly every home. Bonus – if you’re located within 30km of Melbourne CBD they’ll deliver it for free.

Honorable mentions:

We couldn’t not shout out the platforms that also host a variety of second-hand goods. Surely by now, we’ve all heard of Depop – the go-to app for on-trend clothes for a reason, it’s got clothes for everyone and every style. Facebook Marketplace and Etsy have the best bits and bobs, sometimes it takes a little bit of searching but is honestly worth it.
